Objectives:

  • To cater to the educational needs to rural, poor and needy
  • To develop literary, analytical, theoretical, and writing skills of students

Introduction:

Department of English was established in 1997. The English department of the college is one of the active departments of the college with two full-time posts.

Highlights/ Features of the Department:

The department strives to provide quality teaching to rural students. The department uses latest audio-visual equipments like DVDs, CDs. The department has a good collection of books in the departmental library. The department also has Language Laboratory facility.

This department runs three courses:-

  1. Optional English Paper of three years- for B.A. students of six semester programme.
  2. Compulsory English paper of two years of four semester programme
  3. A Certificate courses in communicative skills in English of six months. (A batch of 30 students each )

Programme Outcomes: B.A./B.Sc./B.Com : Compulsory English
