The Department of Zoology, Sant Ramdas Arts, Commerce and Science College, Ghansawangi is established in 1997 and is known for Devotion, Determination, sincerity and quality and has emerged as one of the best learning Department in our college.
The Department of Zoology is proved to have highly Dedicated and motivated staff. The Department has contributed a great in shaping the students and the institutional as well. The Department is well equipped laboratory and the new instrument is added. The faculty member is engaged in active interdisciplinary research work. The staff members are associated with various national and international research organization. The Department library has near about 500 books and a large range of modern laboratory and Teaching equipments are available.
Presently Dr. A.N. Mote is the Head of the Department which are actively participated in the various activity conducted by Department and are now engaged in the research project in the field of parasitology which are sanctioned by UGC as a MRP. Our another staff member Mr. Suryawanshi V.D. is the Asst. Prof. in newly appointed and his research work excellent. He has published few papers in journals having good impact factors.
The first batch of undergraduate students was admitted in most of the high level institute and has secured distinction in the final examination. A large no. of students were selected for PG Studies in different renowned institute including university Department many ex students have achieve good job in various reputed aided, non aided institute.
