The Department of Physics is proved to have highly dedicated and motivated staff. The Department has contributed a great deal in shaping the students and the institutional as well. The department is well equipped laboratory and new instruments is added. The faculty members is engaged in active interdisciplinary research work. The staff member are associated with various national and international research organization. Departmental library has near about 200 books and few journals facility is available for encouraging the students.
Dr. D.R. Sapate is appointed on 01/07/1999 and he is the Head of the Department. He is actively participated in research work. He has published few papers in international Conference and he has recently granted minor research project finance by the institution UGC.
Dr. P.T. Sonwane is newly appointed on 20/07/2009 he too is engaged in research activity. He has also published few papers in international journals having good impact factor. He has also granted minor research project finance by UGC.
The first batch UG Students was admitted in the year 1999 and they have secured distinction in the final examination. A large no. of Students were selected for PG Studies in different renewed institutes including university Department. Many ex. Students have achieved good job in various reputed aided and non aided institute.
