Political Science Department

Introduction

Sant Ramdas Arts, Commerce and Science College, Ghansawangi Dist. Jalna trusted by Swami Ramanand Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Shahagad Tq. Ambad Dist. Jalna and the Founder father of our institutions were to wearing personalities hailing from rural areas and hence they started this college. The department of Political Science was established in the 1997.

Human beings are strongly reflective and curious about themselves, about whom they are and where they came from, about what is the history of foreign policy the world, and about the nature and origins of the the culture they have created for themselves. The department of political science has proved extremely instrumental in gaining to the political knowledge and social science study needs of the students of the Ghansawangi, Jalna and region. The medium of instruction is Marathi. At present the department has two full time faculties: Dr. G.R.Awchar and Dr.R.N.More. Dr. G.R.Awchar is head and Associate Professor in this department.

Scope and Importance of the Subject:

Political Science is a very wide and comprehensive subject. There is no agreement among the Political Scientists as regard to the scope of Political Science. Despite this disagreement, we may make and attempt to define the scope of Political Science which includes the followings:

  • A study of the State and Government
  • A Study of Political Theory
  • A Study of Political Institutions:
  • A study of International Relations and international law

MISSION

The mission of the Department of Political Science is to communicate the knowledge of political science as a scholarly discipline through education of undergraduate students.
